Right next to us is a pub that is doing a massive firework display and having a band on outside next to the field.
In the field opposite they also have a display of rockets. I didn't have to think twice! Me and my dad took two up at a time. We cut across the fields and through the woods. When I saw the display being set up, I was so pleased to be moving them! The rockets were like really rockets. They were the biggest rockets I have ever seen!
I knew the horses would be safe out of the field. When we were in the old field, we had young boys running
after the horses and chasing them with fireworks. It is such a relieve to out of there. The horses would be so nervous for days after.
Now my mind is at rest knowing the horses are safe. I know how hard it must be for people who have horses and have no where to move them to. I have come across horses that have no fear of fireworks and stand and watch! This is something I want to do in the next few months. Getting them used to different loud noises. They are used to airplanes and the noise of them. We were in a field that was next to an airfield and when the planes come to land, they were so low flying across the horses field that you could see the people in the plaine flying it. They made a very loud noise as well. It is like with anything new, it just takes time.
